Outstanding A-level and BTEC Level 3 Results 2025

Lytchett Minster School is proud to celebrate another exceptional year of academic success, with students achieving outstanding results in both A-Levels and BTEC Level 3 qualifications. These accomplishments reflect the tremendous dedication, resilience, and ambition of our students, who have risen to every challenge with determination and focus. Many of these students will now go on to study at some of the country’s top universities or commence exciting apprenticeships. We wish them every happiness and success in the future. We also commend the unwavering commitment and expertise of our teaching staff, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in these achievements. This year’s results continue to strengthen Lytchett Minster School’s reputation for academic excellence and student success. 

This year has seen some brilliant individual performances by a large number of students. Top A-level performer this year was Zach Pipe who achieved A*A*A*A in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry. Zach will be completing a degree in mathematics at the University of Exeter.

Olivia Kerwood achieved A*A*C in psychology, sociology and biology.  Daisy Miles and Skye Anderson-Doig both achieved A*AA; Daisy achieving these fantastic grades in textiles, art and product design, and Skye in sociology, biology and religious studies. Skye will be heading off to the University of Plymouth to study dietetics.

Sophie Lerigo has secured a place to study law at the University of Plymouth after achieving A*AC in sociology, psychology and biology. Eva Hampson and Kaylin Loveless both achieved A*BB; Eva achieved these grades in psychology, biology and business, Kaylin in sociology, psychology and history. Kaylin will now be going to the University of Warwick to read psychology with education.  Martha Wilson achieved A*BB in sociology, psychology and history, and also achieved an A in her EPQ (AS level).  Martha is heading to Cardiff University to study international relations. Mary Harriss achieved A*BC in art, photography and product design. She now plans to complete a art foundation course at Arts University, Bournemouth.

Naomi Sherwood completed 4 A-levels, achieving AABB in biology, maths, chemistry and drama. She now plans to read biochemistry with professional placement at the University of Bath.

The following students all achieved AAB:  Ashton Nials Mendoza (in product design, maths and physics), Issy Richards (in art, product design and geography), Lily Roberts (in art, English literature and religious studies).  Ashton now plans to study physics with astronomy at the University of Southampton and Issy will be going to Bangor University to product.

Ethan Muraro will be studying mathematics at the University of Exeter after achieving AAC in maths, further maths and geography.

Josh Lovell, Jake Lagden and Matt Conde all achieved ABB; Josh in maths, biology and physics, Jake in maths, biology and geography, and Matt in product design, business and geography.  Josh is now heading off to the University of Exeter to study accounting and finance with industrial experience, Jake will be reading business (with work placements) at the University of Bath, and Matt will be doing a degree apprenticeship in finance at PKF Francis Clarke.  Grace Walker achieved AA in business and maths. 

There were also some superb performances in our BTEC courses:

Emily Harrington and Isobel Hobson achieved Triple Distinction Star! Emily achieved these phenomenal grades in BTEC Extended Diploma in health and social care, and Isobel achieved them in BTEC production Arts. Emily will now go on to complete a NHS nursing Degree Apprenticeship and Isobel will be applying to university in September 2026 after taking a gap year.

Lottie Griffiths and Katie Hall both achieves Distinction Star and Double Distinction in BTEC Extended Diploma in health and social care. Lottie will be going to the University of Plymouth to study paramedic science, and Katie will be studying adult nursing at Bournemouth University.

The following students all achieved Double Distinction Star in their BTEC Diploma course: Martha Graham, Mollie Mechen and Fearny-maia White (sport). Martha will be going to the University of Winchester to physiotherapy, and Mollie will be heading off to the University of Winchester to study physiotherapy.

There were further outstanding results in BTEC performing arts for Lily Ward (Distinction Star/ Distinction) in the Diploma course and for Polly Davies and Pollen Demir (Distinction Star) in the Extended Certificate and Foundational Diploma.  Lily has been accepted at Art University Bournemouth to study acting, Polly has been successful in gaining a place at Emil Dale to study musical theatre and Pollen will be studying introduction to acting at Italia Conti.

In sport, Kaci Cadman, Mia Case, Alex Dawe and Charlie Skinner all achieved a Distinction Star. Kaci also achieved grades BC in A-level psychology and biology, Mia grades BC in product design and art, Alex grades BD in A-level business and geography, and Charlie grades BC in A-level geography and biology.   Kaci plans to go to Bournemouth University to study sport and exercise science, Mia is heading off to the University of Plymouth to study product and furniture design, and Charlie plans to go to the University of Exeter to study geography in September 2026 after taking a gap year.  Thomas Hannaford, Hayden Jones and George King all achieved Distinction Star/Distinction in the BTEC Diploma in sport. Thomas also achieved a grade C in A-level geography. After a gap year, Thomas is planning to study geography and sport science at Loughborough University. Hayden is planning to study sport and exercise science at Southampton Solent University.  George also achieved a grade D in A level history. He is also now taking a gap year, and will head off to Southampton Solent University to follow a course in football studies with placement.

In BTEC media Pierre Martel and Daniel Beard achieved Distinction Star/Distinction, with Pierre also achieving a B in product design and Daniel achieving an A in drama.  Daniel is now planning to go to Italia Conti to study musical theatre.

We would also like to congratulate Sienna Lawrence for securing a 100% scholarship at the prestigious ArtsEd Performing Arts school to study musical theatre.

The school’s Key Stage 5 results are once again outstanding. We are delighted that students studying at Lytchett consistently achieve top grades at A level and BTEC Level 3.  We wish all our Year 13 students well as they head off to university, apprenticeships, the world of work or the increasingly popular ‘gap year’. They are a very impressive group of students, and it has been a privilege and delight to know them.
