The sports centre was established in 1988 and has, over the years, undergone extensive additions including a 3G floodlit astro pitch, outdoor cricket nets and, most recently, netball and tennis courts. The facilities also include a full size sports hall, gymnastics hall, fitness suite and a community function room.
We are keen to play our part in the community by providing access opportunities for the public to utilise the sports centre's facilities and offer various classes and activities including badminton, tennis, basketball, volleyball, netball, circuit training, kickboxing, gymnastics, trampolining and five-a-side football, amongst others.
The sports centre does not receive any financial support from the local authorities to provide sports and leisure opportunities for the local community and is therefore totally self-funding. Accordingly, any surplus income at the end of the financial year is used by the centre's management committee to improve the facilities for both the school's and the community's use. By applying these principles, we can ensure that the facilities for sports, health and fitness related activities are second to none in the area.

This superb full size sports hall has four badminton courts, two cricket nets, two basketball courts, a futsal and five-a-side football pitch. The sports hall is available for both casual individual and club bookings.
The fitness suite comprises the latest cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, rowing machines and exercise bikes. There is also a good selection of static resistance and cable machines, weight benches and free weights available. All new members must take an induction session to familiarise themselves with the equipment. Induction sessions can be booked via the sports centre reception.
This facility was opened in 2017 and features the latest 3G turf technology as used by many premiership football clubs. The pitch includes three five-a-side football pitches and has a nine-a-side pitch and goals available.
Opened in 2014, this facility has four tennis courts and three netball courts. The floodlights can be operated to suit the activity.
The gymnasium is equipped with a specialised sprung floor, which makes it especially suitable for gymnastics, trampolining and martial arts groups.
The community room offers a comfortable setting for members of the public using the centre. The community room can also be booked for courses or social functions. The kitchen facilities include hot and cold drinks and confectionery and can be used by clubs who wish to provide catering for visiting teams.
