Fitness Room

The Fitness Room comprises sixteen cardiovascular stations including treadmills, rowers and cycles, as well as sixteen resistance machines. All users must undertake an induction session to familiarise themselves with the use of the equipment and a user card will then be issued to allow future entry to the facility. To book an induction session please phone the Sports Centre.

The Fitness Room is open each evening from 6 – 10pm, except on Thursday 6 – 7pm when it is used by The Poole Heart Rehabilitation Group.

The Gymnasium is equipped with a specialised sprung floor which makes it especially suitable for our Martial Arts groups and Gymnastic club. In addition, it is sufficiently large to accommodate four bowls mats and provides the venue for Lytchett Manor Short Mat Bowls Club.

The superb multi use Sports hall has four Badminton courts and is also used extensively for five-a-side Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Netball. The Sports Hall is available for both casual individual and club bookings, although in order to ensure availability most users of this facility tend to be long-term regular bookings.

The outdoor floodlit area has recently been resurfaced to provide a very good playing area. It has markings for three Tennis courts and two Netball courts. This area is often booked for Football training and is the venue for the Lytchett Manor Adult Netball League and Doodlebugs Junior Netball Club.

This new facility provides a superb surface for Hockey, five-a-side Football, and Tennis. There is much demand from local Football teams for use of this facility and The Dorset Football Association Girl’s Centre of Excellence is based at Lytchett.

The Social Room provides a comfortable setting for members of the public using the Sports Centre or whilst waiting to meet others. The coffee bar serves drinks and confectionary throughout the evening and can be used by clubs who need to provide catering for visiting teams.
