Charles Darwin by Jess

2009 is the hundredth anniversary of Charles Darwin’s Birth. He was a man with a gift. His Understanding of how the world works and evolved still fascinates people today.  There is still controversy over some of his theory’s such as, have man evolved from apes?

Charles Darwin was born on 12th February 1809 and died on 19th April 1882 within those 73 years he has achieved more than any other person has relating to evolution.

Darwin Started off at Edinburgh University but thankfully for the world was not very interested in Medical School and didn’t like the sight of blood so after two years changed to Cambridge to study and lay the foundations to become one of the worlds most famous scientists.

There are still projects that we could look at today such as Within his theory when he studied the Galapagos island and found the species of birds slightly different on each island it does seem similar that within our country although we do not look different our accents are very different.

The Origin of the Species that was first published in 1859 is still published today although with some revisions proves that there is still much more to investigate within the science world.
